What we're all about

The Delaware Arts Festival first made its debut in May, 1973.  It was the brainchild of several local artists & residents who wanted to showcase the work of many talented individuals in and around Ohio.  The festival now has over 170 fine arts & craft exhibits, food and entertainment.

2008 will be our 35th festival. The celebration will take place the first weekend after Mother's Day in historic downtown Delaware, Ohio.  Enjoy unique strolling performers, children's activities, artist demonstrations....fun for the whole family!!  We also feature a Student Art Show at our Library that spotlights a variety of very talented high school students in Delaware County.

The Delaware Arts Festival proceeds benefit artistic students of Delaware County. The main objective is to underwrite scholarships for Delaware County residents entering college in the visual arts.  A yearly donation is given to the Delaware County District Library and grants are awarded to Delaware County art teachers.

The Delaware Arts Festival Association, Inc. is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that is manned completely by volunteers.  Funds are raised through donations from generous Delaware County area businesses and residents. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and/or sponsoring the Delaware County Arts Festival please contact us.
